A recording i took on 04/26/2014, presumably on cassette tape, of an art installation in madison, wi titled "asylum," created by marina kelly and megan katz. To my knowledge, this is the only audio recording that exists of the soundscape, though if asked by kelly or katz i will respectfully take it down. "asylum" was a temporary art installation located in the tenney park passageway under east johnson street. From what i saw when i was there, it was just a speaker or two playing some ambient sounds. These sounds could have been generated based on environmental input, but due to lack of evidence i can't conclusively say that was indeed the case. I was in a bad mood on this recording so apologies for the negativity/language.

Recorded on the 2022 11 13 at 13:43, on a zoom h5 recorded but rode wireless gomic. Recorded with a ms set up using a sennheiser 416 paired with sennheiser mkh-70 into a zoom h4n. I then synced this up with another recording from a different position using a zoom 4n.

A fire engine approaching, then slowly passing, then disappearing into the distance. This was in gallery place in washington, dc, during rush hour, so traffic was slow; thus, a longer than usual siren.
